Hasshomiya Shrine is a shrine where Emperor Jinmu is said to have rested near the Mitarashi Pond when he moved from Hyuga Province.
It is said that a god appeared riding a red horse, and this is the origin of the name of Akama (horse), Munakata City. Within the shrine grounds, there are valuable trees such as centuries-old oaks and evergreen persimmon trees, and cherry blossoms, wisteria, azaleas, and other flowers bloom in each season.
In particular, it is a famous cherry blossom viewing spot that attracts many people in spring. It is believed that visiting Hasshomiya Shrine brings benefits, and it is loved by many people.
