The Koyasu Grand Festival is a spring festival held at Umi Hachimangu Shrine in Umi Town, Kasuya District, Fukuoka Prefecture, which is famous as a shrine for safe childbirth and child-rearing.

The name of this festival originated from the existence of the Japanese pagoda tree, known as the Koyasu no Ki (Child Safety Tree).

This festival, which is held for two days in mid-April every year, has a Shinko ceremony (divine procession) every other year. The Shinko ceremony, which is held from early morning, is a valuable event where old traditions remain, such as the setting up of a floating hall on the way to Ino Tonmiya.

Because it is believed to have benefits for safe childbirth and child-rearing, many people visit for worship. Please visit the Koyasu Festival and experience its tradition and history.
