Tenjin Central Park, located in the center of Fukuoka City, is known as a park with a vast lawn area and the “Kihinkan” (Guest House), which is a nationally designated Important Cultural Property. Within the park, there is a Sakura (cherry blossom) Plaza with approximately 50 cherry trees, and cherry trees such as Somei Yoshino, Yamazakura, and Satozakura bloom in full glory. At their peak viewing time, the cherry tree-lined streets form a beautiful tunnel. Also, at night, the illuminated cherry tree-lined streets create a magical night cherry blossom scene, attracting many visitors. Tenjin Central Park is popular as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in spring, and the cherry blossom scenery along the Yakuin Shingawa River is also beautiful, attracting many people.
