Maizuru Park, developed on the site of Fukuoka Castle, has a beautiful iris garden. Every year, the irises reach their best viewing period in mid-May. With wooden paths provided, you can enjoy the delicate purple and white flowers up close. Also, in June, hydrangeas begin to bloom in various parts of the park.

In Maizuru Park, there are also large trees scattered about, such as zelkova, camphor, and mukunoki trees, with trunk circumferences ranging from 5 to 3 meters. We recommend taking a leisurely stroll while gazing at the ruins of Fukuoka Castle.

Enjoy the beauty of nature by appreciating the irises and hydrangeas at Maizuru Park.
