Kisshoji Park in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, is a scenic park with a famous large wisteria trellis that is about 800 square meters, as well as a wide variety of trees such as cherry blossoms and hydrangeas. The park is divided into east and west by a pedestrian bridge, and the autumn leaves forest is located near the west park entrance.
Every year from mid-November to early December, the deepening autumn scenery is colored by Japanese maple trees, red Japanese maple trees, and other maple trees, as well as by the bright yellow and vermillion colors of sawtooth oak and Japanese elm trees. There is also a lawn area, an observation deck, and a parking lot, so you can enjoy a leisurely stroll.
The charm of the autumn leaves at Kisshoji Park is its tranquility. You can enjoy autumn leaf viewing slowly without being crowded. In addition, because there are so many different trees, the contrast of red, yellow, and green is vivid. The fallen autumn leaves spreading on the promenade also create an autumn atmosphere.
Why not take this opportunity to fully enjoy the rich nature and the peaceful autumn atmosphere of Fukuoka?
