At Musashi Temple, the oldest temple in Kyushu, known as the “Choja no Fuji” (Millionaire’s Wisteria), there is a magnificent wisteria tree that is over 1,300 years old. The fragrance of the wisteria is noble, and the light purple flower clusters are beautiful, blooming in full glory as if heralding the beginning of summer. Also, events such as the wisteria memorial service are held under the wisteria trellis, attracting locals and tourists alike.

There are also Tenpaizan Park and Mount Tenpai in the surrounding area, where you can enjoy stage events, stamp rallies, local product sales, historical site tours, a handmade play corner, and foot baths. In particular, the historical site tour, which tours the historic spots, and the handmade play corner are recommended for elementary school students.

There are many events where you can fully enjoy the attractions around Musashi Temple. Please come and visit.
