Kurume Centennial Park is a park located in Kurume City. In the spring, approximately 5,000 azaleas bloom in full glory, and the “Kurume Azalea Festival” is held every April.

Within the park, there is a huge object of the Studio Ghibli character “Totoro,” and there are also plazas and play equipment that children can enjoy. Furthermore, the maple trees in the park display beautiful autumn foliage in the fall, allowing visitors to enjoy the beauty of nature in all seasons.

  • From JR Kagoshima Main Line or Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line “Kurume Station” (take Nishitetsu bus No. 23), get off at “Hyakunen Koen” (Centennial Park) immediately.
  • From “Nishitetsu Kurume Station,” you can also use the bus bound for (T-Joy/Yume Town Entrance)
  • Approximately 10 minutes from Kurume IC (National Route 322 (300m) => turn left at the Nonoshita intersection => National Route 210 (1.7km))
