What is the Nakasu Festival?
The Nakasu Festival is a festival that began in 1976 with the aim of revitalizing the Nakasu district. It is now established as an autumn tradition of Hakata and attracts many people every year.
The biggest highlight is the “Nakasu Kunihiro Female Mikoshi.” Women dressed in glamorous costumes parade through the streets carrying mikoshi. Their magnificent appearance can be called the flower of the festival.
