This event, which began in 1958 as a cherry blossom viewing entertainment by the local draymen’s association, sees dozens of horses, including ponies, draft horses, and light horses, galloping across the spring beach, thrilling the spectators.
Local specialties and the famous “Bafun Manju” (horse dung buns) are also sold, making it a very popular event for families to enjoy.
