The founding of Haki Shrine is old, and it is said to date back to the time of Emperor Keitai, the 26th Emperor, about 1500 years ago. A story remains that the Imperial Court army prayed to Haki Daimyojin for victory in order to quell the rebellion of Iwai, a powerful local clan in Chikushi.
