A Space-Time-Transcending Festival of Light Woven by Candles and Hot Air Balloons

“Yoshinogari Historical Park” in Kanzaki City, Saga Prefecture, is a place full of historical romance where a Yayoi period moat settlement has been restored.

At the annual light-up event “Yoshinogari Hikari no Hibiki,” this vast park is illuminated with colorful lights and flames, creating a fantastical atmosphere.

  • Light Ground Picture: The “South Inner Enclosure,” where approximately 6,000 candle lanterns are lined up, is truly a masterpiece! When you look down from the watchtower, a ground picture drawn with light appears.
  • Hot Air Balloon Night Mooring: The sight of the flames of the burner illuminating the hot air balloon floating in the night sky is fantastical and romantic.
  • Candle Lanterns: Candle lanterns installed throughout the park envelop visitors in warm light.
  • Light-up: The Yayoi period buildings are lit up, showing a different expression from the daytime.
