The “Kanmon Straits Museum (Kaikyo Dramaship)” is a new sensation museum with a sense of scale, where you can experience the history and culture of the Kanmon Strait from three perspectives: “seeing,” “learning,” and “playing.”

Straits Atrium: A giant diorama that recreates the magnificent scenery of the Kanmon Strait. You can experience the tidal currents, the movement of ships, and historical events through video and sound.

Historical Corridor: The history of the Kanmon Strait from the Genpei War to the present day is explained in an easy-to-understand manner with videos and exhibits.

Straits Experience Zone: There are many interactive exhibits, such as a ship operation simulator and an aquarium where you can observe the fish that live in the Kanmon Strait.

By Boat: Approximately 4 minutes walk from the Kanmon Ferry “Mojiko Pier.”

By Car: Approximately 7 minutes from the Kanmon Expressway “Mojiko IC”, approximately 5 minutes from the Kitakyushu Urban Expressway “Kasuga Ramp”, and approximately 8 minutes from the Kyushu Expressway “Moji IC”. There is a pay parking lot that can accommodate 200 standard cars.
