The row of Japanese wax trees stretching for about 1.2 km in the Yanagisaka Sone district of Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture, has been selected as one of the New 100 Best Japanese Street Trees and is also designated as a natural monument of Fukuoka Prefecture.

The highlight is how the Japanese wax trees, which were planted in the Edo period as a raw material for lighting wax, are dyed in deep autumn colors in November. The view of the row of red-dyed Japanese wax trees continuing against the backdrop of the Mino Mountain Range is truly spectacular.

In addition, the Haze Festival will be held from November 18th (Sat) to 26th (Sun), 2023. During the period, stage events and stalls will be held, making it even more exciting.

Why not take this opportunity to visit the autumn leaves of the row of Japanese wax trees at Yanagisaka Sone and enjoy the spectacular scenery that harmonizes with the Mino Mountain Range?
