The Four Shining Features of Light City Hakata
Symbol Tree: A 14.9-meter-tall symbol tree stands tall in front of Hakata Station. The gold-shining tree is like a star floating in the night sky. Around the tree, Christmas-themed illuminations such as present boxes and snowflakes are displayed, enhancing the gorgeous atmosphere.
Forest of Light: Around the symbol tree, approximately 30 trees stand, forming a forest of light. The trees are decorated with blue and white LEDs, creating a fantastical world of light. It creates a romantic space, as if you have wandered into a fairy tale.
Gate of Light: The Gate of Light, newly established last year, is a photo spot that brightly decorates the entrance to the illuminations. Passing through the gate, you enter a shining other world. The arch created by gold and white light is perfect for photos.
Pedestrian Deck: The pedestrian deck connecting Hakata Station and surrounding facilities is also decorated with illuminations. The lines of light extending to the ceiling are like the Milky Way. They gently illuminate the feet of people enjoying shopping and dining.
Enjoy the Christmas Spirit at Three Christmas Markets! During the illumination period, three Christmas markets will be held around Hakata Station, further enhancing the Christmas mood.
Christmas Market in Light City Hakata: Event Period: Friday, November 1, 2024 to Wednesday, December 25, 2024 Venue: JR Hakata Station Plaza A warm and inviting market reminiscent of traditional European Christmas markets. Christmas ornaments,雑貨(zakka – miscellaneous goods), mulled wine, sausages, and other Christmas-specific products are lined up.
TENJIN CHRISTMAS MARKET: Venue: Tenjin Central Park A gorgeous Christmas market that colors the streets of Tenjin. Huts decorated with illuminations line up, selling Christmas goods, food, and drinks. Stage events and workshops are also held, allowing you to fully enjoy the Christmas atmosphere.
